IPC
The IPC Community Pharmacy Commitment Program supports state pharmacy associations with a quarterly contribution. The goal of the program is to recognize and encourage the success and growth of community pharmacy.
NC Mutual Drug
The Academy of Independent Pharmacists, on behalf of the VPhA Research and Education Foundation, requested and received grant support from Mutual Drug for the Entrepreneurial Pharmacy and Independent Pharmacy Practice elective. This elective is offered at the VCU School of Pharmacy, Hampton University School of Pharmacy, and the Appalachian College of Pharmacy.
Academy of Pharmacy Technicians
Purpose: The purpose of the academy is to unite pharmacy technicians, provide social, educational and legislative activities geared to the needs of the technician. It is the academy’s goal to promote and provide support for all pharmacy technicians and encourage national certification.
Membership: All academy members must be members of the Virginia Pharmacists Association. Members of VPhA will be eligible to apply for membership in this academy upon registration through the Virginia Board of Pharmacy. Apply by contacting VPhA. Additional dues required.
Objectives:
- To provide programs focused on improving and benefiting pharmacy technicians.
- To identify and support legislative initiatives.
- To take an active role in informing pharmacy technicians of membership.
